How to Find Happiness in the Darkest of Times

We all go through different struggles throughout our lives whether that be mental, physical, abuse, depression or other. Some of could probably relate and some of could probably only imagine the damage that has been done and is still being done. Even if we can't understand, we will still try whether it be talking directly or simply being there for that person.

Lets get to the reason why I'm making this blog post, something which is so sensitive and personal. There have been times I've felt like hating myself, sometimes I've felt that maybe it was a mistake to follow the path I want and should have mindlessly follow what my parents wanted me to be. There have been times when I've cried over feeling like a failure just for some grades.

Sometimes its not always easy trying to make it out of the darkness, it always seems to creep up on you when you least expect it and isn't so easy to let you go. It can feel that there is no way out, almost as if it's suffocating the life out of you. If feels everyone who you call for help is out of your reach but they aren't. Asking for help does not make you weak and even if it is scary, you shouldn't feel scared to ask them.

One way that can help relieve that darkness is talking to someone, and I know this type of advice has probably been said over and over again but it does really help. Talk to a friend, one you feel you can confide in with anything or talk to a trusted member of the family, if those are not good then try talking to maybe a teacher or a therapist. There will always be someone out there that you can just talk to and let everything out.

Another way that I sometimes find happiness, is involving myself in different activities, if you're in school or university, join a club/society, that does something that you enjoy or have an interest in. You could also do other hobbies you may have, such a photography, dancing, gym and other stuff. The fun thing about joining a club/society is that you'd be surrounded by people who love to do the same things you love, with that you'll meet new people and make new friends. Sometimes the darkness can always be there waiting to get at you but when in you're in your club or society, feel free to forget all that and enjoy that brief moment of fun and freedom.

The city can sometimes feel a bit suffocating especially if you live in a city with a very large population, the high skyscrapers, towers, buildings can feel like they are looming over you. Seeing all the people, loud sounds and even busy atmosphere can be a bit of an overload and can put someone down. Regardless of where you are in the world, if you feel like the place where you live is too much, take a day trip, week trip, or more just to take a break from it all. You could go to the countryside, go abroad, and see things that you don't usually see, to put your mind at easy.

I don't claim to be an expert and nor do I know all the different specific struggles a person can face. However, I've seen many of my friends go through a numerous amount of struggles over the years and I hope that this little blog post and some ideas can help those looking for a little light in the darkness. If you ever need to someone to talk to, drop me a message sometime, on insta, twitter or even on here. I don't claim to have all the answers, nor would I say I am a professional. If it is something very urgent and very damaging a professional may be a better person to go to.

Hope you all have a fabulous day.

Black Pink 'Boombayah' Review

K-Pop is something I have gotten into but only in the last two years perhaps. I have never seen something so amazing and when I first discovered it, it was like a new world had become visible to me. Among the many K-Pop bands I came across one of which was Black Pink. This group become one of many female K-Pop groups I discovered but to me they were one of the few that stood out. I don't know, there was something about them. One trend I found is how hey presented all the different sides to themselves throughout their music videos. The flow of the music, the attitude as well as the visually pleasing music videos is something I liked. Black Pink - Boombayah Thoughts One of my favourite music videos that they have released, has got to be their  Boombayah . In the music video and the song, it looks and sounds like they are having a lot of fun. It presents them as stunning bad girls, doing their own thing and showing so much attitude and fierceness. There is something about t...

Winter Lights Festival

It goes without saying the lights festival is a sight to see. The Winter Lights Festival, occurred in the Canary Wharf, East London area of London in the United Kingdom. The festival comprised of different installations that showed off the beauty of the lights in different ways. From using revolving prisms to waterfalls to lights travelling through trees. It was truly a spectacle to witness with your own eyes. We also came across a maze which looked beautiful from the inside and outside of it, sadly there was too long a line of people to go in so in the end we had to settle for taking pictures, from outside the maze. Even still, there were some very beautiful colours and designs to be captured.  I myself didn’t get a chance to see all the lights, but I did see as many as I can with one of my friends Nadia Ellewood. We went around on the last day however, the weather wasn’t the best to take pictures, even still me and her made the best of it. The spinning prisms were ...

Dolls Kill Sugar Thrillz Wish List

Currently I am obssessed with Dolls Skill espeically the brand Sugar Thrillz on their site. I love how pastel and kawaii everything is and if I had all the money in the world I would buy every single one of them. I thought if I can't buy them I could at least gush and talk about them in a blog post. I would be just putting this out in no particular order. The first thing that appeared for favs was this, the ' Melted Sherbert Color Block Backpack ', the thing I like about this backpack is how the colours go so well together. They are all nice and pastel, and compliment each other. Although it may not be a big bag, its cute little backpack to carry all your essentials in. If I  bought this I would be wearing it out in the sunlight, and showing it off. This bag is currently at $38.00. Another thing I would love to own is this ' Princess Posh Brocade Coat '. I love how pastel pink it is, it looks so soft, love the design that is all over the coat and love ...
